People enjoy having flowers as a gift, but did you know about the darkside? The mass-produced cut flowers going into the landfills lead to biogas emissions, which are 25 times worse for the environment than carbon emissions, therefore this project aims to bring a change to floral waste.

Edibana kit creates a new opportunity for the flower gift-giving ritual to become sustainable for the environment and for maintaining our health. Edibana is named after “edible” and “bana” meaning “flowers” in Japanese. This kit will allow the customers to enjoy the edible flowers from the same stalk for a year by using the flower plucking method, in which you pluck the flowers before it wilts and it will bloom again within a week to nine days. This kit will be able to produce the flowers continuously for a year within your home by not producing waste.
